Breaking news from the Lambda Newsroom! In this love story, from an exchange of phone numbers, phone conversation, laughter, and getting to know each other. God had shown this woman who her husband was before it came to past. Even though they faced many challenges Gods hand has been with this marriage. Here they are today celebrating another year of marriage.

So on today we would like to say happy anniversary to our very own Soror/Intercessory Team Lead/ Assistant Director of Training Allison Joy'Chanel Riley but, we will forever call her “Quiet Illusion” #8 of The Beginning Line and her husband Mr. Dexter Riley.

Many years before we became “us,” Dexter was out here making mix CDs like it was a full-time job — back when you had to actually press “burn” and wait forever. Hip hop was his thing, and I’d see him in passing, but nothing serious… until Words With Friends got involved. 👀 One day, in between me crushing him with triple-word scores (he may tell the story differently), he asked for my number. From there, we chatted, laughed, and got to know each other.

Our first date? My favorite spot — Carrabba’s. We dated for about two years before he completely caught me off guard with a proposal at a local restaurant, surrounded by family and friends. (Yes, I cried. There's a video floating around somewhere) The wild part? Before he even asked, God had already shown me he was my husband.

We’ve faced our share of challenges, but God’s hand has been on us every step of the way. I’m so grateful to do life with him… and to have someone who still makes me laugh like the day we started. So on today we your sisters of Lambda Psi Alpha Sorority, Incorporated would like to say happy anniversary, and may God continue to bless you all with many more years of happiness and love. Breaking news from the Lambda Newsroom! In this love story God had a plan, where he took this couple in different directions. But, all the while God was behind the scenes. What started as a message, to invitation to church, and a proposal was part of the plan. So on this day 3 years later we would like to say happy anniversary to our very own Soror/ Pearl Award Teresa Davis but we will forever call her “Divine Revelator” #5 of the Divine Evolution of Excellence Line and her husband Mr. Demetris Davis.

I ask our Soror to give us a bio of how God brought them together as one.

Soror Teresa: Demetris and I have always been friends and known each from our community, life took us in different directions and we lost contact with each other, but God had a plan! Sooooooo many years later I went on a cruise with my church family and while my Pastor and I were talking about the next cruise I told her” the next cruise we go on I’ll have my husband that God has for me” and it was manifested in a unique way. So Demetris saw a picture of me with his aunt during the cruise and he messaged me by saying “Happy New Year to you and your family” me thinking it was a joke I deleted the message and a few days later he sent the same message to me again so this time instead of playing hard I responded and we began talking about work and church. He asked me where do I go to church and I told him that’s when he told me his aunt and his mom go to the same church as me I was shocked. I invited him to come to church and our relationship took off from there and after several weeks of phone calls, text messages, dinner dates and church functions he asked me do I believe in love at first sight and do I think God brings people together for a reason of course I said yes. We let God take the lead and everything fell into place and in May he proposed to me in church after service and on August 12, 2023 I became Mrs. Davis. I can truly say God put this marriage together and I indeed married my best friend, prayer partner and a great Man of God.

UnStoppable Faith truly embodies that statement. As Chairperson of Delta Psi Chapter, Dean of Pledges, and Director of Security, she continues to lead, serve, encourage, and pour into others with a heart rooted in Christ.

Her favorite scripture, 2 Corinthians 4:8–9, is more than a favorite passage — it beautifully reflects the faith she carries. Through every challenge and every season, she continues to stand, serve, encourage, and shine.

Breaking News from The Lambda Newsroom! In this love story a woman that was terrified from being hurt, found out that from one call in the wee hours of the morning that the Holy Ghost told this man to not let her run this time! And so after 14 years this woman has never left his side. So on today we would like to say happy anniversary to our very own Soror/VCP of Chi Psi Meeka Harrison Drewery but we will forever call her, “The Advocat3” #3 of The Beginning Line and her husband Mr. Kenny Drewery. I asked our sister to give us a bio of how God brought them together as one.

Soror Shamekka: My man, my man, my man!
Kenny and I met working in ministry. At the time, he was his Pastor’s Armor Bearer and I was the Youth Leader at my church. One day, while his pastor was ministering at my church, he simply said, “Hey 1st Lady.” And me, with my smart mouth said, “Who? Where is he? And when you find him let me know.” Everyone thought he was flirting with me but I didn’t. Later that evening he popped up on my “people you may know.” We talked everyday thereafter. Things moved so fast, I got scared and planned to run. I was terrified of being hurt and I liked being non-committed. One night, at about 3am he called me and said, “the Holy Ghost told me. I’m not letting you run this time”. So, I took a deep breath and jumped! We met in late July, I knew I was in love by September, we were engaged in January, and married by July. 1 full year. We’ve been married for 14 years and we are proof that it doesn’t take God all day to do whatever he wants to do!
