The Ghosts and Ghouls have arrived! Leading their ranks and helping spirits soar is another one of our Board Members! Let's Meet the Spectacular Specter - Jordan Ulrich!

Jordan Ulrich (he/him) is a co-founder of Live Proud and the board Treasurer. He holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Missouri, where he conducted research on vocal education for transgender and nonbinary people, with the goal of reducing vocal dysphoria. During that time, he also earned awards for his research presentations and for his singing, as well as starring in multiple opera performances. A classically trained baritone, Jordan has sung roles such as Papageno in The Magic Flute and The Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance (cancelled due to COVID). Jordan’s goals for Live Proud include an accessible housing community, an LGBTQ+ focused scientific journal, and ongoing education projects. He is now pursuing a career as a physician, as well as remaining active in performing arts groups and LGBTQ+ support networks in the Columbia area.

Good Afternoon!

We've reached Week Two in our Fund Dash! This week the witches have arrived to the party to make sure there's room on the broom (and at the party) for everyone! Leading the witches is Live Proud's Co-Founder and Chair of the Board - Anna Ralls-Ulrich! Let's meet them!

Anna Ralls-Ulrich (they/them) is a co-founder of Live Proud and the board Chair. They hold a Master of Studies in Creative Writing from Oxford University, where their thesis was a full-length stage play exploring the intersections of religion and their nonbinary identity. Their works have been published in Contrary and Colorado Review, and have been nominated for the Best of the Net and the Pushcart Prize. In addition to working full-time, they spend their spare time as a freelance editor and accuracy reader, as well as helming Live Proud’s Q***r Joy Poems Project and Ur Local Q***rs. Anna was raised fundamentalist Christian, and is now working to heal from the toxic religion in which they grew up. They are active in several advocacy and activism groups for q***r, disabled, and neurodiverse people. Anna has been married to their spouse, Jordan Ulrich, since 2017, and is a proud parent to a menagerie of pets.

We wanted something physical to take away from this virtual get Mash so here they are!

Hello! You may be wondering what's up with the redesign! In honor of spooky season, we're having a fund dash - in the form of a virtual Monster Mash! Below explains what we're raising money for and why. If you have any questions let us know! We'll have rewards for certain donation levels as well.

Our Goal is $1275. We will be using the money for Festival Gear, but more importantly the application fee to become a 501c3 (a real nonprofit!) We are also adding a buffer to cover Go Fund Me fees and reward costs!

Speaking of Rewards! Tune in Monday to see the two rewards available for certain donation levels. For $10 you can get a Monster Mash Ticket Key Chain! For $25 you can get a T-Shirt! If you donate a loving $35, you can get BOTH!
