Columbia Foster and Adoption Project Supporting foster and adoptive families as they navigate various life stages! CFAP is an all volunteer led organization.

CFAP offers support to the relative caregiver, foster and adoptive community through educational trainings and social events. We also support relative caregiver, foster and adoptive families by providing tangible items and supplies for the children of these homes through our Back to School Picnic, I-Belong Basket program and through CFAP’s “The Giving Tree” which fulfills Christmas wish lists of Boone County children in foster care.

Do you know a child in Boone County who is navigating foster care and could benefit from additional speech and language support?

Mizzou Academy is proud to launch a new Telehealth Speech-Language Pathology Program designed to expand access for local children and youth.

Through secure, virtual sessions with program partner, Empat Speech, we connect young people with speech and language services to support communication, learning, and confidence.

Working with Heart of Missouri CASA, this program aims to reduce common barriers like transportation, scheduling, and access to providers.

If you work with or support a child who could benefit from our program, submit a referral today! This Boone County Foster Care Speech Language Pathology Program is available free-of-charge for children ages 0–18 who are navigating the foster care system in Boone County and need speech and language support.

That’s a wrap!

This Giving Tree Season we were able to provide 335 children in foster care with gifts.

We would not be able to accomplish this every year without the kindness and generosity of individual sponsors, local organizations and businesses.

We are overwhelmed by the effort and intention of sponsors.

The care taken to make sure every child on the tree has gifts under the tree is heartwarming, nothing short of amazing.

Thanks to everyone who helped make magic happen this holiday season!
