The Mississippi SBDC Network is bringing its "Digital Marketing Bootcamp: Put AI To Work For Your Business" program to the Pearl Community Center on Friday, August 21, from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM.

This hands-on bootcamp will help small business owners strengthen their digital marketing strategies and explore practical ways to use AI for content creation, customer insights, online visibility, productivity, and more.

We’re also excited to welcome the 2026 SBA Mississippi Small Business Person of the Year, Ameka Coleman, as a guest speaker! Ameka is the owner and founder of Strands of Faith and is also a Mississippi SBDC Network client.

This event is offered at no cost in partnership with the Pearl Chamber of Commerce.

✂️ Congratulations to Hodges Mercantile Co. on their official Ribbon Cutting!

MCDP was honored to celebrate with the owners, family, friends, MCDP Ambassadors, and elected officials this morning as we welcomed Hodges Mercantile Co. to Main Street Columbia and the Marion County business community.

Hodges Mercantile Co. offers arts and crafts supplies, new and used books, hand-made items and a carefully curated space for various craft classes and community gathering. The space is as warm and welcoming as the people behind it.
