September--one of our busiest months. Back to school is in full swing, the start of Autumn (or some say pumpkin-spice season), the harvest moon, Labor Day and Patriot Day.
September is also associated with awareness campaigns for National RECOVERY month and National SU***DE PREVENTION month. Stay tuned as DMH shares info on these awareness campaigns throughout September!

On September 10, put a lit candle near you window at 8pm as a reminder of those who have died by su***de, and their family and friends. ❤️‍🩹

World Su***de Prevention Day on September 10th is an opportunity for communities worldwide—including charitable organisations, researchers, clinicians, practitioners, policymakers, volunteers, those bereaved by su***de, those with lived experience, and individuals—to start the conversation on su***de prevention.

The triennial theme for 2024–2026 is ‘Changing the Narrative on Su***de’. While it is crucial to discuss su***de prevention year-round, World Su***de Prevention Day offers a powerful moment to highlight the issue, acknowledge efforts to prevent su***de, and honour loved ones in a meaningful way. Thoughtful planning with clear objectives can significantly enhance the positive impact of your activities.

Did you catch it? The national premiere of Caregiving, the PBS documentary produced by Bradley Cooper and narrated by Uzo Aduba, aired last night—but the conversation doesn’t end here.

This powerful two-hour film honors the strength and humanity of caregivers—those supporting aging parents, disabled loved ones, ill partners, and more.
