If we truly believe that the unborn child is another human life, there is no circumstance in which abortion is permitted. Aborting a child that we suspect might grow up impoverished is not the solution to poverty or caring for the impoverished. In the case where pregnancy and parenting for the mother becomes more challenging due to circumstances outside of her control, there are many organizations, including pregnancy resource centers across the country, that provide tangible resources for women and babies, such as clothing, housing assistance, referrals to governmental aid, job training, etc. Even in the most challenging of circumstances, a mother may choose the life-saving options of parenting or adoption for her child.
In cases where pregnancy seems merely inconvenient, such as a pregnant teenager, college student or career-focused woman, ending the life of another human for the sake of convenience or preference is never permissible. The church is right to remind mothers of their vocation, regardless of age or station in life, to fulfill their God-given calling as mothers, which is to nurture and provide for the children given to them.

❤️THOUGHFUL THURSDAY ❤️

Well, it means to value all life. Sometimes, the misconception is that it means only unborn lives or innocent life. It really means ALL human life. The pro-life movement focuses heavily on unborn children because there is a threat to their innocent lives. This does not mean that those who are already born are of no importance to “pro-lifers.” Most pregnancy centers help the mothers throughout pregnancy until the child is 1–2 years old. There are countless other organizations & pro-life individuals who come alongside mothers after their pregnancy & beyond.

Eve's Restoration Ministries is one of those organizations. We have a pro-life mission to serve mothers & children at all stages of their life. Our particular focus is mothers seeking to reunify with their children in foster care. ❤️

Eve's Restoration- A pro-life mission.

Last August this blog was shared. It focused on Eve's Restoration Ministries being a pro-life mission.

The keynote speaker for our Dinner Hop fundraiser on August 29th is pro-life speaker Kristi Hofferber. Her powerful story intertwined with our mission, will make for an inspirational night. 🙌

✝️THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY✝️

The Faith & Identity component of Eve’s Restoration Home exists to support spiritual grounding, identity formation, and emotional stability through Scripture, prayer, and Christian community. Participation is expected as part of the holistic restoration process.

Moms in our program will participate in personal & group Bible study, devotions, Divine Service on Sunday Mornings, and have the opportunity to have private confession & abolution from LCMS clergy if requested.

Knowing the freedom we have in Christ will be a key part of our program. 🔑

We will focus on Health & Habits and being Strengthened in Service. We believe taking care of your body and building good daily habits helps you grow and make positive changes. By providing a safe environment to facilitate change, we support residents as they learn healthy routines, grow stronger, and take steps toward a better and more balanced life.

Throughout their stay we will explore ways to make healthier choices when it comes to meal planning, cooking, exercising, & more.
