Disasters can happen when you least expect them. Take time this month to prepare your home, build an emergency kit, review your insurance coverage, and learn about the risks in your area.

And remember: disasters can bring scammers, too. Be cautious of price gouging, storm chasers, and contractors who show up after a disaster offering quick repairs.

It was all about connection this weekend! The Better Business Bureau was out and about connecting with good people, celebrating partnerships, and supporting the busineesses thath help make our community strong.

It was especially nice to hang out with BBB Advisory Board member, Shane Thomas, as he was passing through Columbia to show his support on the way back to home base, and connect with the Mediacom Local team as they proudly unveiled their new banner before the football game at Father Tolton Catholic High School. 🏈

Saturday brought even more great connections, visiting with BBB-Accredited Businesses who were showcasing their products and services as vendors at the Columbia HBA Home Show! 🏠🔨 It was a proud moment, seeing our Accredited Businesses out in the community - meeting new customers, and demonstrating the trust, integrity, and communitment to the ethical business practices BBB stands for.
