A final farewell… 👗
After several years and 250 young ladies served, Cinderella’s Closet of Mid-MO is closing our doors. We can’t thank all our supporters and volunteers from over the years. Because of you we were able to lift up and encourage so many young women across the region. Thank you 💕
All the remaining dresses and accessories have been donated to Saavy Seconds, run by Unlimited Opportunities in Boonville. Their mission is to help the developmentally disabled live healthy, successful lives. They run day programs for those that are not able to work, both adults and children. They run a recycling center and a resale shop where they employ their clients, get them to and from work, and teach them skills like managing inventory, running a register and working with customers. Their program encompasses so many aspects including housing and they are going to put our resources to good use. They will be providing their clients with dresses for events like "Night to Shine" as well as selling them at greatly reduced prices ($35 or less for dresses) so that everyone that needs them can have access to beautiful dresses and at days and times that are convenient for shopping. They are located right next to Boonville High School and have connections in many other communities in the area. They will even provide free resources with a voucher from Central Missouri Community Action so that no one has to do without. 🙌
Anyone looking for a dress and/or shoes for prom or that special occasion can shop and donate there.
Again, thank you to all the volunteers over the years that have sharing their love and commitment to building confidence in girls and shared in so many beautiful memories. We believe we, the volunteers, benefitted just as much as the girls we served. 💗
