Thank you to the Powerhouse Community Development Corporation and Unity in the Community for having us at the Community Back to School Bash! We had the incredible opportunity to connect with hundreds of families and share how Safe Families for Children can support them. Looking for a way to support Safe Families for Children?

Safe Families for Children is fortunate to be one of the charities selected for this year's Tigers on the Prowl dinner, live and silent auction on October 23, 2026, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Wyndham Executive Center in Columbia, MO. We would be honored if you would consider purchasing a table, or a seat or even possibly donating to our silent auction. ✨Interested in supporting local families? Become a Safe Families for Children Volunteer!✨

We are looking for volunteers to support local parents currently experiencing a crisis. Here are some ways you can volunteer and get involved:

💛 Provide friendship & support - meet with a parent a few times per month to offer support and a listening ear. Activities could include walking at a park, attending a local event together, etc.

🏠 Provide respite - Host a child in your home for a day or overnight to a give a family in crisis the space they need to stabilize.

🛍 Provide resources - Donate clothing, meals and other supplies to parents in need or volunteers providing care for children.
