Economic growth and strong public schools go hand in hand.

Today, SCSBA brought school board members together to explore how economic development incentives affect school funding and their communities. Attorneys, economic development professionals, researchers and local leaders shared insights on Fee-in-Lieu of Taxes (FILOT), Tax Increment Financing (TIF) and other incentive tools.

Sessions focused on understanding fiscal impacts, asking informed questions and strengthening partnerships among school districts and local governments to support economic growth and sustainable investment in public education.
