Children's Grove began with the planting of a grove of butterfly magnolias at Stephens Lake Park in Columbia, Missouri as a symbol of our community's commitment to provide for the safety and nurturing of our youth through activities and education that develop their physical, social, emotional and mental health. The tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary gave resolve to this project. The group then grew

into a 501C3 organization with a mission of inspiring a culture of kindness as a pathway to positive mental and emotional health in our children.

Join us on May 5 from 12–1 PM for an official proclamation recognizing Children’s Mental Health Week in our community.

Attendees will also have the chance to participate in a Resolution Tree by sharing one meaningful way they commit to encouraging and supporting a child. 🌱
