There’s still time to recognize the people and organizations making a lasting impact through the humanities in South Carolina.

Whether they preserve local history, inspire learning, share important stories, build community connections, or champion cultural understanding, their work deserves to be celebrated. A nomination is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on their contributions and help ensure their impact is recognized statewide.

If someone has inspired your community, enriched lives through education or storytelling, or strengthened our understanding of the human experience, now is the time to honor them.

✨ Tuesday, June 16 | 6:00–7:30 p.m.
Author Len Lawson will be joined by poets Miho Kinnas and Kathleen Nalley for readings from his newest release, "New Names for Stars."

✨ Thursday, June 18 | 2:30–4:00 p.m.
Tom Elmore presents "Swamp Fox" in Media, exploring the major works about Brig. Gen. Francis Marion, the legendary "Swamp Fox" of the American Revolution.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the latest stop on Ask Me Anything State Tour in Greenville, SC. We had a fantastic evening of stories, ideas, questions, and community conversations in the Upstate.
