The Grassroots Alliance for Immigrant Rights's (GAIR) mission is to document and challenge abuses and injustices in the immigration detention and deportation system, end collaborations between Law Enforcement Agencies in SC, and advocate for meaningful changes that promote the human rights and dignity of immigrants in South Carolina. A SOUTH CAROLINA with a judicial system that promotes human rights, values the dignity of all persons, and respects the due process rights of immigrants. WE WORK TO:
Oppose the immoral and costly calls for mass-deportation policies becuase they are unamerican. Advocate for an end of for-profit mass incarceration of undocumented individuals. Oppose any, and all efforts to shift immigration enforcement responsibilities to state and local law enforcement agencies. Promote immigration policies that make use of successful and cost-effective alternatives to detention.
