Join NAMI Howard County and Nana's Foundation for an evening of meaningful conversations exploring the connection between faith, spirituality, and mental health.

🍕 Enjoy pizza and participate in small-group discussions with members of diverse faith communities as we work together to reduce stigma and promote mental wellness.

👶 Parents & Caregivers: Become a Baby LEADer!

Dates have been updated for the Baby Leaders series to allow more time for families to plan and register.

Parents’ Place of Maryland (PPMD) is accepting applications for its FREE virtual Baby LEADers training program for families of children from birth to age 5 who have a suspected or diagnosed developmental delay or disability.

Participants will learn about:
🔹 Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) and Individualized Education Programs (IEP)
🔹 Transition at age 3
🔹 Communication and conflict resolution
🔹 Leadership and advocacy

📅 Application Deadline: October 16

Mandatory Orientation:
October 20 | 12–1 p.m. OR 7–8 p.m.

Virtual Training Sessions:
Saturdays | 9:30 a.m.–12 p.m.
October 30 | November 7, 14 & 21 | December 5

Participants must attend the orientation and all five training sessions.

📣 Howard County Parents & Caregivers!

Maryland Coalition of Families (MCF) is offering a FREE, two-day Family Leadership Program for Howard County parents and caregivers of school-aged children with mental health challenges.

📅 Friday, October 23 & Saturday, October 24
📍 Hilton Garden Inn – Columbia, MD

During this two-day training, participants will learn more about:

💚 Understanding their child’s behavioral health needs
📚 Navigating special education services and other systems
📣 Finding their voice and strengthening their advocacy skills
🌿 Prioritizing caregiver self-care and well-being

There is no cost to participate! Meals and overnight accommodations are included, and assistance with childcare and transportation expenses is available if needed.

⚠️ Space is limited. Participants must be able to attend both days, and the program is open to first-time participants only. Previous Howard County Family Leadership participants are not eligible to reapply.
