“The sexual abuse crisis in the nation’s largest Protestant denomination was not a hoax. Two investigative reports as well as media investigations revealed hundreds of SBC offenders as well as SBC leaders who turned a blind eye to this great sin. Some of the victims were as young as three years old. Anyone who directly or indirectly downplays the suffering of these children is rejecting the command of Christ to care for the “least of these” (Matthew 25:34-45).” - VV

(RNS) — Rice’s win is a triumph for critics who argue that the nation’s largest Protestant denomination has lost its way in recent years.

Everyone deserves to live free from child abuse and sexual violence.

LGBTQ+ individuals experience sexual violence, harassment, and barriers to support at disproportionately high rates. We are committed to providing compassionate, survivor-centered services that affirm every survivor’s identity and lived experience.

Pride Month is both a celebration of the strength and resilience of LGBTQ+ communities and a reminder of the work that remains to ensure safety, dignity, and equality for all.

Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈

As we begin we agree that every child deserves to feel safe

🌈 June is Pride Month, a time to recognize the importance of dignity, safety, and belonging for LGBTQ+ children, youth, and families, and to uplift the communities working to create affirming spaces for all.

At PennCAC, we believe every child deserves access to trauma-informed care in environments rooted in respect, compassion, and acceptance. Healing happens when children feel seen, supported, and safe to be themselves.

Within Pennsylvania’s Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs), that work is ongoing every day, ensuring children and families have access to coordinated services that center healing and hope, without barriers to care.

As Pride Month begins, we reaffirm our commitment to supportive communities where every child can move forward on a safe path toward healing.
