💻 Finding housing. Applying for a job. Managing benefits. Creating a resume. Checking email. Scheduling appointments.

So many of the everyday tasks that help someone move toward stability now require access to technology—and the knowledge to use it confidently.

For veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness, limited digital access can become another barrier standing between them and the resources they need.

That’s why digital literacy matters. At Welcome Home, helping veterans build lasting stability can mean more than finding housing—it can also mean providing the tools and skills needed to navigate an increasingly digital world.

❣️ Sometimes, finding your own way forward means helping others along the way.

When Joe came to Welcome Home, he was facing serious health challenges and homelessness. But even during one of the most difficult chapters of his own life, Joe found ways to build community—sharing meals, bringing fellow veterans together, and even creating the “Wheelchair Olympics.”

At one point, Joe chose to give up a housing opportunity at Patriot Place so another veteran could have it.

Today, Joe has stable housing, access to the benefits he earned, and a new chapter ahead of him.

Joe’s story is a reminder that the veterans we serve are more than the challenges that brought them to Welcome Home. They are neighbors, friends, leaders, and sources of hope for one another.

💙 No two veterans walk through our doors with the same story—and there isn’t a one-size-fits-all path forward.

At Welcome Home, individualized support means taking the time to understand where each veteran is, what barriers they’re facing, and what resources can help them take their next step.

For one veteran, that might mean finding housing. For another, it could mean navigating benefits, transportation, employment, or simply having someone in their corner.

Different needs. Different paths. One mission: honoring veterans and restoring lives.

🏠 Today is World Homeless Day—a day to raise awareness, challenge assumptions, and recognize the people behind the statistics.

For veterans experiencing homelessness, the path to stability looks different for everyone. It may begin with a safe place to sleep, help finding permanent housing, access to resources, or simply having someone there to help navigate what comes next.

At Welcome Home, our mission goes beyond providing shelter. We work alongside veterans to build a path toward lasting stability, independence, and a place to call home.

Today and every day, we remain committed to our vision: End veteran homelessness.

10/08/2026

💙 There are so many moments behind the mission that you don’t always get to see.

It’s case managers walking alongside veterans. Volunteers showing up ready to help. Moving boxes packed for a new home. Smiles, celebrations, conversations, and all the little moments in between.

These are the everyday pieces of Welcome Home—the people, relationships, and acts of care that help honor veterans and restore lives.

10/06/2026

❤️‍🩹 Homelessness rarely begins with one moment.

For a veteran, it might start with an unexpected expense, a loss of income, falling behind on rent, or losing a support system. One challenge can quickly lead to another until stable housing is at risk.

That’s why homelessness prevention is such an important part of Welcome Home’s work. By providing support before a housing crisis becomes homelessness, we can help veterans find resources, navigate challenges, and work toward lasting stability.

Sometimes, the most important step is helping someone stay housed in the first place.

10/04/2026

🏠 Veteran homelessness doesn’t always look the way we expect.

It can mean sleeping in a car, staying temporarily with friends or family, moving from place to place, or being just days away from losing stable housing.

These situations may be less visible, but the need for support is just as real.

At Welcome Home, we meet veterans wherever they are in their journey—providing housing assistance, case management, homelessness prevention, and connections to resources that can help create lasting stability.

Because every veteran deserves a safe place to call home.
