Today we are proud to spotlight Jeff Metz, LNHA, MBA!

Jeff is President and Administrator of Egle Nursing & Rehab in Lonaconing, Maryland. A lifelong member of the Western Maryland community, Jeff began his healthcare career working on Egle’s maintenance team before becoming a licensed nursing home administrator and co-owner of the facility. Jeff has also been active in advocating for long-term care and rural healthcare providers, including service on the Maryland Health Care Commission and participation in statewide healthcare policy discussions. In 2025, Jeff and Egle Nursing & Rehab Center were recognized as a Community STARS recipient for their contributions to rural health and their Western Maryland community.

Kate Dove is the Client Relations & Development Manager at PDI Health, where she partners with skilled nursing, assisted living, and post-acute communities throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Delaware. With more than a decade of experience in healthcare, Kate is passionate about building meaningful relationships and helping providers deliver the highest quality care through accessible mobile diagnostic imaging services. She believes the best partnerships are built on trust, responsiveness, and a genuine commitment to serving others. As a member of the Lifespan Products & Services Board, as well as the Beacon Instistute golf commitee. Kate enjoys collaborating with industry leaders to support and strengthen the long-term care community. We had such a wonderful visit to with Megan, Erin, Lindsay, and Raquita! One of the sweetest parts of our visit was meeting Bishop, the community’s newly adopted cat! He has already settled in and seems to be enjoying his new role as an unofficial member of the Silverado family. There’s just something special about the comfort and companionship that animals can bring to a senior living community, and Bishop is already making his presence known!

We also loved seeing how Silverado makes each resident’s space feel like home. One resident’s room especially caught our eye, featuring a beautiful gallery wall filled with meaningful photos and memories, along with a stunning antique rug that has been passed down through the family. It was a great reminder that senior living can still feel deeply personal and familiar, surrounded by the things and memories that matter most. Thank you to the Silverado Frederick team for welcoming us and showing us all the special details that make your community feel like home!
