My Birthday is on Friday! I will be 45! FB gives the option to donate to charity. If you want to support the Roll Up N Dye team going to tie dye with the kids at Johns Hopkins Children's Center in Baltimore, please donate here:

We are not a non-profit but as a small business it is hard to carve out time and funds to continue our time there without what is truly an artist’s grant of our own creation. We volunteer our time for the actual event. Your donations help purchase supplies, and pay for the prep, travel, and clean up. We appreciate your support!

I have been working on kits for the Walter Reed Medical Center. Fun with Wikki Stix One of A Kind Creatables , paint, glue, happy snowflakes and stars. I xeroxed one of my tie dye art pieces for the snowperson background. Coming up with what projects to include in each themed kit is always fun!

I have been AWARDED a $25K..YES TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAR GRANT… from the Walter Reed Society to continue my passion project to curate and deliver empowering art kits to hospitalized children. I will also teach a tie dye workshops to the kids at Walter Reed Medical Center throughout the year. I AM SO GRATEFUL and so elated to have this funded so I can bring joy to the kids and remind them that they are strong and can be the sunshine for themselves and others around them through art and acts of kindness. U Can Be The Sunshine was a passion project started during the COVID pandemic. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone who supported our work with donations and with your time assembling art kits. Puzzles are a new fun activity that will be a bonus is many of the kits. Books and stuffed animal friends will also be a new addition to some of the kits. I LOVE this brand of puzzles. How fantastic is this one?!! Look at these amazing women who did such amazing things! If you want to help assemble kits, reach out. I am blown away and at a loss for words. I am so so so so happy!🌈😄🌈

This time last week Kim and I were heading to Johns Hopkins Children's Center to tie dye with the kiddos! Been going since 2016. The kids always love when the tie dye ladies roll in! We are so grateful for the opportunity to offer space for the kids to create beautiful t-shirts and just “be.” Thanks to Sarah and the child life team for letting us be part of their awesome programing.

My friend Morgan is in need of a service dog. Please help if you can!!
Morgan, having been in and out of JHCC for her entire life, was really excited to help me with U Can Be The Sunshine art kits for kids at Hopkins who were isolated to their rooms during COVID. Having lived bravely within her own limitations, she still looks for ways to help others. A four-legged friend would allow her to take many more such adventures.

Last time we visited JHCC we delivered craft kits assembled by volunteers. A group of about 10 teens from a unit in the hospital as well as about 15 other kids were so happy to take the craft kits with them. (Pictured a nurse and security team member carrying kits for the teens)
We will be heading back in August!
