The holidays can be hard for so many. This year, we have partnered with Spread A Little Joy to bring homemade cards to hospital patients and individuals in assisted living. Below is a message from 15 year old Miller Rainwater, who began Spread A Little Joy to uplift others through artwork and handwritten cards.
Hi, I’m Miller Rainwater. I am 15 years old and live in Hampton County, SC. I enjoy art and being outside in nature. In my art specifically I like to capture moments that bring Joy. Last summer, while working at a camp tucked away in the mountains, I decided I wanted to find a way for others who maybe down to experience Joy through art. While pondering my mind on this I developed Spread Some Joy. Spread Some Joy is a program that sends uplifting cards, and art to people in need of a little Joy. It serves as a creative outlet for all age groups as the only real requirement is that the cards are created with love.
Currently, Spread Some Joy works with hospital patients and long term residents in nursing facilities. With the generous support of the Beamer Family Foundation and their followers we can help impact the lives of even more people. We would love for you to follow the Journey of Spread Some Joy even if you are not able to participate this time.
-Much Love, Miller Rainwater
