At New Morning, we empower women in South Carolina by expanding access to birth control across the state.

Meet Kathleen Brady, Vice Chair of New Morning's Board of Directors. Kathleen has spent years working with nonprofits across the state, and when the chance to join New Morning's board came along, she didn't hesitate. "New Morning's reach and impact stood out to me right away," she says.

As a public health researcher, Kathleen already understood how little access South Carolina women have to contraception and reproductive health education. But serving on the board put a face on what that means: how the lack of access holds women back, and how much family planning impacts an entire community.

"It's about creating opportunities for our young people and young families to thrive."

September gave us a lot to talk about with Sexual Health Awareness Month, World Contraception Day, and real conversations about access across South Carolina.
Here's what that adds up to: since New Morning began, we've connected more than 670,000 women (approximately 1 in 3 women of reproductive age in South Carolina) to the reproductive healthcare they need. And NoDrama.org, our free education resource, has provided reproductive health information to more than 2.2 million unique visitors.
This month may be ending, but the work never does.

Sexual health isn't just about birth control. It's the whole picture: prevention, education, and care that treats women like whole people, not just patients.
Last fiscal year, between July 2025 and June 2026, we trained over 2,200 professionals in 125+ clinics across South Carolina, covering costs so women can get comprehensive sexual health care close to home, without judgment.

September is Sexual Health Awareness Month. Every year, women across South Carolina go without the reproductive health care they need. Not because they don't want it, but because cost, distance, or misinformation get in the way.
Closing that gap is what New Morning exists to do. Last fi scal year between July 2025 and June 2026, we gave nearly 80,000 women reproductive care they may not have received otherwise. Support us this month and continue to help women across the state.

It becomes grant funding. That funding reaches one of our 125+ clinical partners across South Carolina. And because of that, a woman gets the care she needs: on her terms, without the barriers that would have stood in her way.
