Join Us for a Walking Adventure at the Washington Seminar!

The National Federation of the Blind Sports and Recreation Division is excited to announce our upcoming event during the Washington Seminar! On February 3rd, we invite you to join us for a lively Sports and Recreation Meet-Up designed to get our bodies moving and spirits soaring together.

We will gather at 9 AM Eastern Time in the main hotel lobby, right by Starbucks. From there, we’ll embark on a refreshing walk to the iconic National Mall area, where you’ll have the opportunity to take stunning photos at some of our nation’s most cherished monuments, including the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Reflecting Pool.

This adventure is absolutely free and open to anyone who wants to participate. It’s a wonderful chance to connect with fellow federationists while showcasing how we move and thrive in our nation’s capital.

Should you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Amy Wilson, the division's Vice President, at the contact information provided below.

We can’t wait to kick off what promises to be the first of many exciting adventures the National Federation of the Blind Sports and Recreation Division has in store for our beloved Washington Seminar. Join us for a memorable morning of movement, camaraderie, and exploration!

Subject: Help Revitalize the Sports and Recreation Division of NFB South Carolina

Dear Members,

The South Carolina Sports and Recreation Division is at a critical turning point. Over the past year, we’ve seen a decline in both membership and participation. In order to keep this division alive and thriving, we need active members who are passionate about growth, participation, and leadership.

Our elections are coming up on December 11, 2024. This is your opportunity to have your voice heard and help shape the future of the division. Whether you’re interested in running for a board position or simply want to vote, it’s crucial to ensure your membership is current.

State dues are $10, and Sports and Recreation Division dues are $5, which must be paid in addition to your state dues. To vote or run for a position, your Sports and Recreation dues must be paid before December 11, 2024, and you must be a resident of South Carolina. If you are interested in running for a position, please let us know as soon as possible.

Here is the current board:
President: Lori Anne Coley
First Vice President: Petranda Anderson
Secretary/Treasurer: Janice Bright

To pay your dues, please use our PayPal link:

Let’s work together to rebuild and strengthen the Sports and Recreation Division for 2025 and beyond. Your membership, participation, and input are vital to this effort.

Thank you for your continued dedication to the NFB South Carolina. Let’s make a difference together.

Sincerely,

11/13/2024
