431 Ministries serves women who are searching for long-term healing after facing hardships such as widowhood, loss of a spouse to divorce, single motherhood, relational abuse or abandonment, post-sobriety, or other similar hardships.

We celebrated as one woman graduated from our Side-by-Side program and took a big step toward her future, moving 400 miles away. Usually, that’s where the story ends.

But then a card arrived in the mail, signed by her and her three children. Inside was a financial gift to help the women coming behind her at 431.

A woman who had been on the receiving end of support and generosity had decided to be on the giving end. She recognized the investment others had made in her and wanted to make that same investment in someone else.

Whatever she built here, she took with her. And now, she's helping another woman do the same.

Think you know 431 Ministries? You might be surprised!

There are a lot of misconceptions about who we serve, what we do, and how we help. Let’s clear up a few! None of these are true:

❌ 431 only helps single moms.
❌ You have to be in a crisis to receive help.
❌ The only way to get help is through the Side-by-Side program.
❌ You have to have a certain income or education level to get help.
❌ 431 only serves women in Spring Hill and Columbia.
❌ You need special skills or qualifications to volunteer.

The truth? Women come to 431 from all walks of life, facing all kinds of unexpected hardships and overwhelming life situations. And it takes an entire community of staff, volunteers, mentors, donors, and supporters to walk alongside them.

The more our community understands who we are and what we do, the more women we can reach.

More women are being helped at 431 than ever before. That growth is the answer to our prayers, and it has also outgrown our budget.

In September, we saw RECORD numbers of class attendance, new requests for help, and overall women served. And behind those numbers are women taking meaningful steps forward.

One of our graduates bought her first home. Four women started new careers. Three women were invited into our Side-by-Side program. And 16 women completed our 8-week Re:New Self-Worth class, confronting lies they had believed about themselves and choosing to move forward in truth.

This is what your support makes possible!

Right now, record intakes, increased childcare needs, and additional staff time have widened the gap between what it costs to serve women well and what our current monthly support covers.

A new monthly gift of $300 can cover one Side-by-Side spot, including her mentor match, advocate time, one-on-one sessions, and ongoing support.

At 431 Ministries, we believe in the power of women being in community with other women. Sitting around the same table. Learning together. Encouraging one another. Sharing their stories. Realizing someone else understands. Watching another woman take a step forward and beginning to believe they can, too.

There is something powerful about realizing you are not the only one feeling overwhelmed or carrying something hard.

And we believe the women God brings through the doors of 431 are here on purpose. Their paths cross for a reason, and God uses those relationships in ways we could never plan. 🙌

Every leaf on this tree represents a woman 431 has helped this year. Different stories. Different hardships. Different goals. All woven into a community where women remind one another that they are not alone.

Because sometimes one of the most important things a woman needs to move forward is another woman beside her who understands. 💕

Last Friday, we had the opportunity to be part of the Tollgate Block Party, and what a fun night connecting with local businesses, families, and neighbors from Thompson’s Station and Spring Hill!

Events like this are about more than simply showing up. They give us the opportunity to share the work happening every day at 431 Ministries and help more people in our community understand who we are, what we do, and how they can be part of it.

The more people who know about 431, the more women we can reach and the more supporters we can invite into this work.
