We had an exciting Chapter Protege competition last night. This year our Chapter selected Final Victory Animal Rescue to help support in our community. From Feb-Aug our attendees donated to this organization, with our biggest fundraising event in July from sweepstakes night.

As a Chapter we raised $3700, we received a grant match of $2500 from Carolinas Credit Union Foundation, making our donation total $6200 to Final Victory! Along with 150 items to support the monetary donation.

We would like to thank our attendees for giving so much and showing up for our annual appreciation night to present the donation to Final Victory Animal Rescue!!

Congratulations to Natasha Horton (SRP FCU), Alicia Little (Palmetto Citizens FCU), and Chris Keane (SAFE FCU) for competing in the Chapter Level Protege competition last night! All 3 did a wonderful job sharing on their chosen topics for the credit union movement. Special thank you to our judges as well; Anne Shivers (Caro), Jennifer Fallaw (SC FCU), and Amy Coggins (SC State CU)

Special congratulations to Alicia for winning and moving onto the Carolinas level to compete at the LAUNCH Conference.

What a wonderful night! We had the pleasure of presenting a donation to Epworth Children's Home, an organization dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families in South Carolina. Throughout the year, we collected more than 500 items for care packages.

Thanks to generous support, we also raised $6,260 with a matching donation of $2,500 from the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation. We were able to present a total check for $8,760 to Epworth Children’s Home.

The Central SC Chapter of the Carolinas Credit Unions League has named Madison Marquez of SAFE Federal Credit Union its Protégé finalist. Way to go, Madison! Thank you to all our amazing participants in the CUxEL Protégé Competition! Congratulations to our winner Madison Márquez with SAFE Federal Credit Union! We also heard some great presentations by Chelsea Kearse (SC State Credit Union) and Leo Nieto (Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union)! Also, thank you everyone who came out to support these great young professionals. Congratulations again Madison!

WOW what an amazing Chapter meeting!!! We came together to pack care packages for SCOA Cares Foundation where they can deliver the care packages to patients of SC Oncology Associates. We collected donations at our Apr, Jun, Jul & Aug meetings, and were able to collect 1,250 items equaling 50 large care packages and 12 mini packages. We also raised $5,417.29 and with the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation match of $2,500 we were able to present a check for $7,917.29 to SCOA Cares Foundation.
