Why recovery housing? Recovery doesn’t happen in isolation, and research continues to show the powerful role recovery housing can play in long-term success.

Studies have shown recovery housing is associated with:
• Reduced likelihood of relapse
• Increased employment and income
• Lower incarceration rates
• Improved treatment engagement and long-term recovery outcomes

Research also found that individuals who remained in sober living environments for 6 months or longer experienced better abstinence outcomes, fewer psychiatric symptoms, and lower rates of legal issues compared to those who left earlier.

At SCARR, we believe recovery housing can provide more than just a place to stay, it can provide the foundation for lasting recovery. 💙
