This past weekend, our Girl Power girls spent 2 nights and 3 days in Charleston for our 2nd Annual Mental Health Awareness Month Lock-In 💕✨
And what a weekend it was.
From workshops and real conversations to karaoke, Uno tournaments, face masks, walking tacos, late-night laughs, and walks by the water — the girls had space to learn, connect, reflect, and just be girls.
Throughout the weekend, licensed mental health professionals led sessions on:
✨ Healthy vs. unhealthy relationships
✨ The comparison trap & social media
✨ What to do when your biggest challenge is YOU
✨ Identifying their strengths through art therapy
A huge thank you to our amazing facilitators:
💕 Yvonne Lee, LPCA
💕 Dr. Sierra Barnes, LPCA
💕 Chelsea Johnson, LISW-CP
💕 Marshella Gore, LPC
We’re also grateful to Joint Base Charleston Short Stay for hosting us and helping create such a beautiful experience for our girls.
These weekends are always a reminder that safe spaces, sisterhood, mental health support, and community matter. And judging by the laughs, memories, and “can we stay longer?” requests… we’d say this one was a success!
Support is the New Strength. 💕🫶🏾
