Super excited that our event is less than 2 weeks away. We will have beautiful fall photos, walking trails, basset hound contests starting at noon, and an all dog Halloween costume at 12:15. We will have some finger foods, cookies, water, etc for all who want to participate along with door prizes. This is a great opportunity to meet other basset owners and dog lovers. Please let us know if you will be joining us so we have enough for everyone.

Benny is looking for his new furever home. He came into rescue in 2022 and was quickly adopted by a very loving woman. Benny had a big back yard to play in (he loves tennis balls) and plenty of treats and belly rubs. Unfortunately, his mom died very unexpectedly so he came back into rescue. Nice folks from his mom's work family have him now but one of their dogs is more of an alpha and didn't really welcome Benny with open paws. He is about 4, up to date on shots and heart worm preventative. He is a laid back guy most of the time but definitely needs a yard to run and play in. He weighs between 35 and 40 pounds. Please message me if you think Benny would be a good addition to your family

Lucky is ready for his forever home. He has met many nice families which has led him to know exactly what he is looking for in a family. He wants to live with a family who has someone who works from home or doesn't work at all. He does well in a crate when you are gone, but all day does not resonate well with him. He is still very much a puppy and needs lots of attention and patience. He walks ok on a leash and LOVES to go for walks, but he needs to learn leash manners because he pulls a lot. He likes other dogs and children (over 5 or 6) but he would do okay by himself. He loves his stuffed toys and tennis balls. He needs a routine and someone who can show him the ropes. He loves to snuggle on the couch and looks forward to his evening belly rubs.

Bethany (https://www.facebook.com/cody.bethany?mibextid=LQQJ4d) reached out to our rescue for some assistance in helping her in-laws find loving homes for a few basset hounds. There are some 4 week old puppies who won't be ready until the end of July or early August, a 2 year old female, and 2- 9 month old males. These pups are NOT UTD on shots or spayed/neitered but definitely will need to be. They are asking for a rehoming fee. Please contact Bethany if you are interested. Loving families only! I included the pics of Tiny and Barney (both 9 months old) and Trouble (2 yo.)

Meet Freddie! He is coming into rescue tomorrow, and believe it or not, he is healthy, neutered, and ready for his new home. He was found as a stray and the shelter said he has been a super sweet, chill little guy. We think he is around 2. Please message me if you are interested in making him a part of your family!
