Celebrate Find the Good Day with Junior League of Columbia!

Welcome to International Find the Good Day: a celebration of compassion, community, and positive change! 💙

Now more than ever, the world needs greater optimism, positivity, and resilience. Optimism not only boosts health, motivation, and outcomes, it also inspires courage. Choosing kindness and perseverance is far braver than giving up.

Every September, Junior Leagues across the globe join together in this movement of kindness and empowerment. Find the Good Day is more than a date on the calendar, it reflects our League’s enduring legacy of uplifting communities, sparking positive change, and embracing the power of unity.

This year, we are proud to support First Chance for Children’s National Diaper Awareness Week through their all-day Diaper Marathon. Volunteers will join together to wrap diapers and meet a critical need right here in Columbia.

We encourage all members and friends to get involved, whether by volunteering, donating, or simply spreading kindness. Sport your JLCOMO shirt, do work that fills your cup, and share your gratitude for Columbia’s incredible network of nonprofits.

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us for our May General Membership Meeting — and a special thank you to Kari Ricks, our featured speaker, for sharing her time, expertise, and heart with us.

Kari’s presentation, "Innovative Tools to Self-Manage Your Mental Health,” gave us a powerful look into how technology like Healium’s virtual reality and biofeedback tools can help us reduce stress, build resilience, and create space for calm — even on our busiest days.

As the Junior League continues to prioritize mental wellness, we’re proud to bring forward programs and conversations that support our members as women, leaders, and changemakers. This is just the beginning!

Junior League of Columbia had the incredible opportunity to be at the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City for Junior League Advocacy Day!

Alongside fellow Junior League members, we met with policymakers—including our District 44 Representative, John Martin—to advocate for important community issues. It was an amazing day to be side by side with women dedicated to creating lasting change in our communities.

Advocacy is about using our voices for those who need it most, and it was a powerful reminder of what can happen when passionate women come together to make an impact.
