Acadia is ready to explore all the wonders life has to offer with you by her side!

You might think Acadia Park is beautiful, but she’s nothing compared to this pup. Acadia warms up quickly and before long, her tail is wagging and she is coming up for pets and loving!🌲

Acadia came in with many other dogs (currently kenneled with other puppies) and she is a huge fan of her fellow four-legged friends! She loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine buddy to hike or romp around with.

Don’t let this adventure pass you by!

Dakota Deserves Better. 💔

Poor Dakota. She was adopted a couple of years ago, and now she's back alongside her buddy Bear (who also needs some TLC, so be sure to check out his post!).

Dakota is skinny, struggling with skin issues, and missing patches of fur from what should be a beautiful black coat. But underneath her rough exterior is a sweet, playful girl with so much love and life left to give.

She's food motivated, knows sit, and loves playing with toys. Her previous owner reported that she'll let you know when she needs to go outside but will also use p*e pads indoors if necessary. She's generally a quiet, well-behaved girl, though she'll speak up when she has something important to tell you!

Who's ready to give Dakota the love and life she should have had all along?

We've got a Goody for you! 🍬

Goody came to the shelter from a hoarding situation involving 20 dogs, who are being brought in gradually.

Just a young puppy, she is understandably unsure about her current predicament. But we know there's a whole lot of goodness underneath her timid exterior!

Currently she shakes with fear and is too nervous to walk on leash. She tolerates being carried and enjoys b***y scratches.
Like any young dog she still has growing, learning, and confidence-building ahead of her.

Who's ready to give her the Good life she deserves? ❤️

“Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.” — Mark Twain

Courage came to the shelter after being abandoned alongside her friends Jacks and Reese (their bios coming soon!). And while she may have every reason to be afraid of trusting again, this girl is living up to her name!

Courage is a friendly but independent lady. She's strong on leash, loves to explore, and seems interested in engaging with other dogs (formal assessment pending). While she enjoys affection, she's not one constantly seek it. She'll happily accept a few pets before heading right back out for more sniffs and some zooms.

She's curious, playful, and braving the shelter. Come adopt Courage, our (Not-So) Cowardly Shelter Dog!

There's no wrong way to love a Reese! 🍫

Reese came to the shelter alongside two other dogs. Sadly, their names aren't Pieces and Cups - they're Jacks and Courage!

Reese is as sweet as her name suggests. Reese is friendly, affectionate, and a total love bug. She'll happily climb into your lap and request all the belly rubs. She’s decent on leash, pulling at times, knows how to sit, comes when called, loves treats, and takes them gently. This girl is a real treat!

Forget the candy aisle. The best Reese is at the shelter.

Wait… another Bella?! Yep, another one!
While her name might not be one of a kind, this Bella certainly is!

Bella arrived at the shelter with an apparent leg injury. She was limping and nervous about letting anyone help her. Thankfully, the shelter's veterinary team got her the care and rest she needed, and now she's back on all four paws! 🐾

Her physical recovery has been easier than her emotional one, though. Bella is a scared, sensitive girl. She cowers when approached and is hesitant to touch. She walks nicely on leash, knows sit, and just needs a patient, gentle person to help her feel safe enough to let her guard down.

There may be a million Bellas out there, but there's only one Bella like this.

Do you love anyone enough to give them your last Rolo? 🍫

Rolo is friendly, goofy, playful, and still very much a puppy! She is still building her confidence, especially on leash, but does well with positive reinforcement. She loves toys, already knows sit, and has plenty of silly puppy antics just waiting to be unwrapped!

Rolo is ready for the sweet life! 🍬

Big Boy Bodhi! 💪

Bodhi's curiosity is just as big as his head! This handsome hunk is friendly and enjoys affection, but is currently more interested in sniffing, exploring and checking out everything around him. He can pull on leash, knows how to sit and likes treats.

Big Boy Bodhi is looking for his big break!

Rwar - It's Bear! 🐻

Bear came to the shelter as an owner surrender alongside his friend Dakota (whose post is coming soon!).

Bear arrived very skinny with his skin and fur in rough shape. It should come as no surprise that Bear is very food motivated! He already knows sit, does reasonably well on leash, and may have some house-training experience. His previous owner reported that he will alert when he needs to go outside but will also use p*e pads indoors, if needed. Bear is a quiet, sweet boy who enjoys toys, although plushies are highly susceptible to bear attacks! 💥

Bear is ready to come out of hibernation and into a home where he can thrive. 🧸

It's time to turn over a new Leaf! 🍁

Leaf came to the shelter as a stray. She has a gorgeous black coat with beautiful brown and autumn-colored undertones.

Leaf was initially too nervous to walk and had to be carried outside, but she opened up outside. She's timid and submissive, but also curious, friendly, and eager to connect. She’ll stay low to the ground when she’s feeling unsure but she’s crawl over, tail wagging, and ask for belly rubs. She loves treats, takes them ever so gently, and just needs a little confidence to help her embrace this new season of life.

🩺 A medical note: Leaf has a lump on her neck that may need further evaluation (see picture). We don't have access to the shelter's medical records, so please check with staff for more information.

Who's ready to fall for Leaf? 🍂
