One of our recent calls was from a Gazan family who traveled to the Mayo Clinic so their little ones could receive the care they need.

While Minnesota hasn't been a primary destination for Gazan families seeking medical treatment, we consider it a a privilege to quiet honor to show up for this family. They're navigating so much — new surroundings, an unfamiliar system, and the weight of a child's illness all at once.

Thankfully, we had the ability to supplement their living expenses while they go through treatment. We're grateful to be part of these families journeys of healing. 🫶🤍

Alhamdulillah, last month's food shelf was a success! Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, we served 200+ food boxes + halal chicken to 150+ families yesterday.

💜 Special shout-out to to the ‘Young Muslim Brothers of Minnesota’ volunteers for helping with the food box packing for the next food shelf! With their help, we were able to pack 185 boxes to be distributed this month.

As the Ummah faces trials across the world, Dawah becomes even more vital. Dawah is not just an obligation. It purifies our hearts, brings us nearer to Allah, and invites barakah into every part of our lives.

"You have brought us happiness this Eid, may Allah bring you all happiness." A client sent us this after we helped him secure rental assistance — he'd been between jobs, worried about keeping a roof over his family's head, and the process took longer than he hoped. But he made it through. 🏡

This message stopped us in our tracks. It's a reminder that housing stability isn't something everyone can take for granted.

For so many in our community, being seen and supported in a moment of need isn't just helpful — it feels like a gift. We don't take that lightly.

Alhamdulillah! This Eid-al-Adha, we were blessed with the opportunity to distribute fresh Qurbani meat to 15 revert families — completely free of charge. 🤍

Jazakallahu Khayran to everyone who made this possible — your generosity is sadaqah that keeps on giving.

Thank you to the 8 volunteers that came in last Saturday for the food shelf packing!

With their help, we were able to unload 3 pallets of food, organize it, and make about 100 food boxes for this months’ upcoming food shelf.

We still have 100 boxes to go, as we distribute 200+ boxes of food at our monthly food shelf to community members in need.

We’ve partnered with local halal grocers to make donating easier than ever. When you order your Qurbani, simply designate a portion for the Building Blocks Food Shelf, and we’ll ensure it reaches the dinner tables of those who need it most.
