Title: Program Coordinator
Position Status: Part time, 20 hours per week

Northeast Senior Services, Inc., a grassroots, 501(c)(3), non-profit organization serving seniors, age 60 and over. Our mission: Helping Seniors Live Independently with Dignity. We serve Northeast Minneapolis, St. Anthony Village, Columbia Heights and New Brighton.
Position Summary
*Start-up a new local senior volunteer program to recruit volunteer drivers, and rider companions to transport seniors to/from essential appointments
*Work closely with two national organizations providing technical assistance for computer-based scheduling and rider companion training
*Reach out to volunteers through multiple communication channels and social media platforms.
Develop, coordinate and facilitate volunteer orientation, training, and recognition events
*Schedule and supervise volunteers, track participation and report on actions and outcomes
*Flexible work schedule, with occasional evening and/or weekend hours

Qualifications
*Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
*Experience with volunteers and training of volunteers.
*Working knowledge of senior citizens and aging in place issues.
*Ability to work a flexible schedule, with occasional evening and/or weekend hours. Able to travel between locations, as required.

Starting Wage Range: $19.00 - $21.00/hour
Benefits: Paid Time Off, opportunity to grow with program

The labor shortage is making it difficult for older adults to get all the support they need. We have clients waiting for help weeding, cleaning gutters, and putting in their air conditioning units. Support NE Seniors RIDES program

Northeast Senior Services would like to invite you and your friends to a Silent Auction to raise funds for our RIDES program on Saturday, June 26th from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at Barley John's in New Brighton. LAddress:781 Old Hwy 8 SW, New Brighton.

Seating is available outside or inside. Silent Auction items/baskets will be listed on our website starting 6/14/2021 and updated as new items are added.

You can buy a brew/drink or soft drink or appetizers/meals and Barley John's will appreciate your business. https://www.barleyjohns.com/visit. Parking is entered from Cty D (when heading West) or from Old Hwy 8 (when you are going North on Old Hwy 8).
