Medical - 12
Motor vehicle accidents - 2
Gas alarm - 1
Automatic crash notifications - 2
Structure fire - 1
Smoke/Fire investigation - 2

We have been blessed to have our numbers lower this year so far, but the tourism season is just starting. Let's be careful out there!

More than 90% of our calls are medical in nature. Although we don't transport patients, we typically arrive first to stabilize and get care started so when the transporting agency arrives, they can leave more quickly with the patient. We currently have 4 firefighters in school to become Emergency Medical Responders. These folks will join our EMTs and other EMS responders in caring for our injured or sick members in our community. Please join me in thanking our medical QRU folks who answer the call!

Our flags are at half staff today to honor the men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice while policing our nation. Whether it is the local police dept, highway patrol, or the sheriff's deputies...these folks help us on scene time after time. Today we honor their fallen brothers and sisters. We salute you all!

Our former Chief, Kirk Katzenmeyer , is retiring this month. While shooting ads for his plumbing business, he also did some talking points for his love for our fire department. Kirk will continue to serve our department on the board. Thank you for your many years service!
