The Making Place Your local makerspace. We make it easier to make stuff! Tool Library ~ Workshops & Events ~ Community Workspace Our goal is to open a physical location in 2025.

We are a new makerspace in the Flathead Valley built by artists, makers and those who care about local art. We want to make it easier for people to create, share & learn together. Through collaborative engagement and a grassroots approach we aim to create a space that is reflective of its community. This summer 2024 we are utilizing satellite spaces to host workshops and events.

Thank you Glacier and Columbia Falls Ace Hardware for being one of our Craft Pass sponsors at Harvest Moon Fest!

This generous sponsorship helped make the mushroom felting, bandana dying, basket weaving, and painting possible!

As your local ACE Hardware, they play an active role in our community and are definitely our go-to helpful hardware folks :)

Bring it to the Costume Hospital at The Making Place! We've got sewing machines, paint, glue guns, and people to help.

Bring your friends too, because friends don't let friends wear bad costumes.

From recording radio ads with us, to sponsoring events like Harvest Moon Fest and our Storytelling Night, and to volunteering with us, Park Side is the best, because if you didn’t already know, they like to say yes!

It has been so wonderful being one of the 2026 Park Side Partners and we couldn't be more grateful for all of their help in making Harvest Moon Fest happen.

We had Park Side volunteers helping do a little bit of everything, from running crafts, helping sell tickets, and emceeing, to serving up some delicious b**r!

Thank you Park Side Credit Union !

We still can't get over how great Harvest Moon Fest was!

From all of our amazing art and food vendors, to the incredible musical performers and craft leaders... you make this event what it is!

And so do all of our community members who constantly show up and support us! We do this for you and couldn't do it without you!

You just can't help but smile at Harvest Moon Fest... As you look around at people trying new things, children blowing bubbles and playing in the cardboard maze, and friends joking and laughing together... it is truly special.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts 🧡

🎨 Take a closer look at these crafts from Harvest Moon Fest!!

Folks weaved little baskets out of pine needles, learned how to felt their own mushrooms, dyed bandanas with flowers, and painted on sliced wooden canvases!

We had a blast at each and every craft station and we hope you did, too!

Thank you so much for joining us this weekend!

Thank you to our craft pass leaders who taught so many people a new craft!and.reverence
