We have exciting news!
Thanks to a generous donor, The Center is in the process of purchasing 106 W. Mulberry St. in South Whitley for our Whitko location, and we could not be more excited!
Since our Whitko site launched in 2018, we've been grateful to call the beautiful upstairs of the Old Brownstone Building home through our partnership with Lori and Tony Starkey. Their generosity and support have played a significant role in the success of our Whitko programs, and we couldn't step into this next chapter without offering a heartfelt THANK YOU from all of us at The Center!
If you haven't heard much about our Whitko site, there have been many wonderful things happening over the years. Through our programs, we have served an average of 74 middle school students and 47 high school students each school year, and approximately 51% of the students we served at our Whitko location last year reside in Kosciusko County.
Our students often refer to Whitko ASC as their second home, and we are incredibly grateful to provide a place where they feel welcomed, supported, and valued.
While we're still in the early stages of planning, we're especially excited about what this opportunity could mean for the community. We envision a local hub for partnership, collaboration, and connection. A place where we can continue helping Whitko students thrive for years to come.
Thank you for your support and partnership throughout the years. We can't wait to see what's ahead!
