🌱 Monday Meandering:
Recovery and the unknown!
In recovery, our relationship with uncertainty is something we navigate every single day.
Let’s be honest—the future can feel incredibly intimidating. Whether you are dealing with early recovery, navigating transitions, or rebuilding relationships, not having all the answers can trigger real anxiety. The "unknown" can make us want to look far ahead and try to control things we simply can't.
But one of the greatest gifts of this journey is learning that we don't have to figure it all out today.
When the future feels frightening, we can practice staying anchored in the present moment. For many of us, that looks like putting pen to paper. Journaling allows us to:
• Get racing thoughts out of our heads and onto the page.
• Focus on the next right choice rather than the next year.
• Practice "One Day at a Time" as a daily action.
✍️ Join Us Every Monday at 9:30 AM
If you are looking for a safe, supportive space to process these feelings, join us at the Mission 25 REC every Monday morning at 9:30 AM for our weekly journaling group. We provide the journals, the coffee, and a community that understands exactly where you are coming from. Come ground yourself for the week ahead.
Let’s talk in the comments:
What about the future feels a bit uncertain or frightening to you right now? What is one tool you use to stay present?
