We’re excited to share that applications are now open for the 2026 Signature Giving Vocational Scholarship!

This meaningful scholarship is offered in honor of Bronson Ball — an inspiring young leader from Whitley County whose legacy continues to support students and adults pursuing certifications, trades, or two-year degrees that lead straight into careers here in Northeast Indiana.

Whether you’re just starting your education or returning to school to gain new skills, this program is designed to help individuals get ahead in life and their careers through vocational and certification programs.

🎓 Announcing Our 2025 Signature Giving Vocational Scholarship Winners! 🎉

After reviewing an inspiring group of applications from across Northeast Indiana, we are proud to introduce this year’s two outstanding recipients:

🔧 Landon Williams – Northrop High School (Fort Wayne)
Landon will attend Ivy Tech to earn his ASE Certification in Automotive Technology. His goal is to become a master-level technician and one day teach others how to care for their own vehicles.

🎷 Clifford Hawkins – Whitko High School
Clifford will attend Minnesota State College to study Band Instrument Repair. Driven by a love for music and helping others, Cliff hopes to make instrument access and repair more available so others can express themselves and discover their passions. His dream is to return to Indiana and work at Sweetwater or Metzler.

These scholarships are awarded to students pursuing vocational training and certification, and each winner receives $1,500 toward their education.

It's that time of year again!!
Does your high school student attend Eagle Tech or any school in Whitley County? Is your child considering a two-year degree or certification in lieu of a four-year degree? If so, then this scholarship is for your teen! In May of 2025 Signature Giving will be giving away two, $1,500.00 scholarships, in the name of the late Bronson Ball, to two students just like yours! It’s easy to apply and all your child needs is; a plan to attend a 2-year degree program or certification course as well as an intention of returning to Whitley county to work and live after their schooling/training is finished.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!! PLEASE READ AND PASS ON TO ANYONE WHO LOVES TO VOLUNTEER!

Would you enjoy helping the youth of your county get a great education for the future betterment of your community? Do you feel that scholarships should also be awarded to teens in your county who seek two year degrees and certifications? Do you want to make a difference in the lives of everyone in our community by creating and holding sponsored, fun, open to the community, fund raising events?

Signature Giving is a non-profit scholarship platform based in Columbia City and it is our mission to support local students who are seeking certifications, two year or vocational degrees, who intend on residing and working in Whitley County while improving the life of other Whitley County residents with their contribution to our community through their careers.
We are currently looking for (7 to 11) new board members who are willing to step in, re-vamp, and re-energize this wonderful cause.

We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications:

-Ability to come up with great ideas to raise funds for a great cause.
-You must enjoy party and event planning or non-profit board work.
-Have spare time once a month or more, during event times, to volunteer your time and energies toward fund raising, party planning, events and monthly or bi-monthly board meetings.
-Must have a passion for helping the youth of the community become all they can be.
-Willing to work on a voluntary basis.
-Connections with school guidance counselors or decision makers is a plus but not necessary.
-Ability to influence key business owners in the community who will be donating is a plus.
-Knowledge of 501c3 operations is a plus but not necessary.
-Willingness to commit for at least 2 years to the cause until new board members can be found.
