Montana communities are full of ideas that can make a lasting difference. The Montana Community Foundation’s Community Investment Program helps bring those ideas to life by funding projects that address local needs and improve quality of life.

Organizations serving Rosebud, Custer, and Fallon counties, as well as the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation, are encouraged to explore this funding opportunity. Eligible nonprofits and government entities can apply for grants of up to $50,000 to support projects that strengthen their communities.

The next application deadline is November 1, 2026.

📢 GRANT OPPORTUNITY – Community Investment Program (CIP)

The Montana Community Foundation’s Community Investment Program (CIP) is accepting applications for its fall grant cycle, with up to $50,000 available for eligible projects in Rosebud, Custer, and Fallon Counties and the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation.

Funding can support a wide range of community projects, including:
🏫 School improvements
🌳 Parks and community facilities
🚑 Emergency-response equipment
🧸 Childcare equipment
🏘️ Other projects that improve quality of life and strengthen local communities.

Who can apply?
Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and government entities. For-profit organizations and individuals are not eligible to apply directly but may work with an eligible fiscal sponsor.
