The Fire Foundation’s mission is to strengthen the services of the Colorado Springs Fire Department, while promoting excellence in the department and improving pu

blic safety by providing resources not otherwise available from the City. Since the Foundation was established in 2015, it has contributed more than $30,000 to fund equipment and training that enhance the safety and professionalism of the city’s firefighters and that contribute to public safety. Among the items funded by the Foundation are enhanced emergency access saws that allow emergency responders to open vehicles and extract victims. These saws are especially manufactured to cut through the toughened exteriors of modern automobiles which otherwise are resistant to less capable extraction equipment. As our city continues to grow, the challenges faced by our Fire Department expand and test those who have sworn to protect and serve our community. The Fire Foundation provides an important avenue for the private sector to come alongside our firefighters to support the department in its mission. Like you, we are grateful for those who protect and serve in our community. The Fire Foundation of Colorado Springs allows us to show our gratitude and enhance the Colorado Springs Fire Department’s capabilities through investments in technology, education and training. Through the Fire Foundation, business and community leaders are taking an active role to ensure Colorado Springs has highly trained and capable firefighters, who effectively and efficiently serve the needs of our community.

Join us for our 3rd Annual Open House!! This is a time for our community to interact with us and learn more about what we do, while having some fun too! We'll have food trucks, live demonstrations, displays from all of our divisions, some of our awesome community partners, and so much more!

We'll also take this time to recognize community members who have gone above and beyond. We hope to see you all there!
