Spring has a way of reminding us that growth takes time 🌱☀️

After long seasons of struggle, cold days, and feeling stuck, life can begin to bloom again little by little. Recovery is much the same. It starts with small steps, patience, and the willingness to keep growing even when the process feels slow.

The Freedom Recovery team has loved getting out into the community, enjoying the warmer weather, and watching people rediscover joy, connection, and hope again. Sometimes healing looks a lot like springtime.

Yesterday the Freedom Recovery team was all over the city enjoying the beautiful weather, community, and connection ☀️💙

Some of the team spent the day out at the annual Territory Days festival in Old Colorado City enjoying good food, axe throwing, live entertainment, local history, and all the energy that makes the event such a Colorado tradition. Meanwhile, other coaches and members of our recovery community spent time throughout the city getting outdoors, staying active, and making positive memories together.

Recovery is about learning how to live life again and days like yesterday are a reminder that healing can also look like laughter, fellowship, sunshine, and simply being present with good people.

Nothing but good energy, great conversations, music, art, community, and real connection all day long. We love showing up in spaces where people can come together, be themselves, support local businesses, and build positive community relationships.

Recovery happens in community and today was a beautiful reminder of that.

🌟 Peer Coach Spotlight: Kenny Kramer 🌟

Kenny Kramer has spent most of his life in Pueblo and now dedicates his life to giving back to the same community that helped shape him. After spending over a decade lost in addiction to multiple substances, Kenny now walks in recovery with a heart devoted to helping others find their way back to themselves. With more than three years sober, he brings lived experience, honesty, and a quiet strength to everyone he encounters.

Kenny believes recovery is not just about putting substances down. It is about uncovering the person buried beneath the pain, the survival, and the struggle. It is about remembering who you were always meant to be. Through compassion, encouragement, and genuine connection, Kenny continues to pour into the community he loves, helping others believe that healing, growth, and hope are still possible no matter how far someone may have fallen.

And if you know Kenny, you also know that his sense of humor has a way of bringing levity to even the heaviest days. Whether it is making someone laugh when they need it most or finding a way to lighten the mood, Kenny reminds people that recovery still has room for joy, laughter, and being human.

Today we celebrate our coach, our friend, and an incredible part of the Freedom Recovery family, Dodie, on her 1 year of sobriety!

One year of growth. One year of perseverance. One year of choosing healing, purpose, and a new life every single day.

Dodie continues to show up for others with compassion, strength, humor, and authenticity, using her journey to encourage and inspire the people around her. Recovery is not always easy, but milestones like this are a powerful reminder that change is possible and hope is real.

The Freedom Recovery family had the honor of celebrating the wedding of our owners and dear friends, Patrick and Vanessa. 💙

It was a beautiful day filled with love, laughter, friendship, and unforgettable memories. Being able to witness and be part of such a special moment meant so much to all of us.

We celebrate the life they are building together and are grateful for the heart, leadership, and love they continue to pour into the people around them every single day. Wishing them a lifetime of happiness, peace, and blessings in this new chapter together. 💍

Freedom Recovery had an amazing time out at the Mental Wellness Block Party today at the El Pueblo History Museum.

It was a beautiful day filled with community connection, resources, laughter, conversations, and people coming together to support mental health awareness and recovery. We are grateful for every opportunity to stand alongside other organizations working to make a difference in Pueblo.

A huge thank you to Friendly Harbor Community Center and everyone involved in putting together such a meaningful event. We loved meeting so many incredible people today and look forward to many more community events ahead.
