Have you ever wondered why a mission trip can change the way you see the world?

When we step outside what is familiar, God often opens our eyes in new ways. We begin to see His heart for people, His work around the world, and how He is inviting us to serve.

A mission trip isn’t just about where we go—it’s about how God transforms us along the way.

We’re not meant to go back the same.

🎙️ Hear more about the impact of serving cross-culturally in our latest episode of the Serve Like Jesus podcast: https://youtu.be/7vNPvSDfiNk?si=FsNNpV4P1F3QTA3B

Every classroom starts with a vision.

This August, as students around the world return to school, we’re celebrating a vision becoming reality: ServeNow’s largest project to date — a four-story vocational school in Uganda.

This school represents our commitment to training the vulnerable by equipping students with practical skills in 10 different trades, creating pathways to opportunity that can transform families and communities for generations to come.

Together, we can help equip the next generation with skills, hope, and opportunity.

Sometimes the most powerful part of a mission trip isn't what you accomplish—it's simply showing up.

When we leave what's familiar to serve others, we reflect the heart of Jesus, who left heaven to come to us. Our presence can communicate the love of Christ before we ever say a word.

It started with one invitation.

A young girl who had spent months living in isolation was invited to a Lighthouse Center in Thailand. That single invitation changed everything.

Today, she's flourishing—not only in school, but in her faith.

Her full story is one you won't want to miss.

Sometimes God puts a desire in our hearts before the opportunity comes.

If you’ve ever felt God’s call to go on a mission trip but haven’t been able to yet, trust His timing. Stay connected, stay inspired, and continue serving where He has placed you.

God is still working — even in the waiting.

What’s in your hands?

In Exodus 3, God asked Moses, “What is in your hand?” What seemed ordinary — a shepherd’s staff — became something God used for His purposes.

God works through each of us in different ways. He has given every person unique gifts, resources, experiences, and opportunities that He can use for His Kingdom.

What may feel insignificant in your hands can become significant when placed in God’s hands.

Listen to Episode 10 of the Serve Like Jesus podcast to hear how God can use your gifts, your willingness, and even your presence to make an impact through serving on a team trip.

✨ Have you ever wondered if the ordinary things you do really matter to God?

Serving Jesus can take many forms. Sometimes it happens in visible moments of ministry, and sometimes it looks like the everyday acts of faithfulness God has entrusted to us.

In this reflection, Emily shares what God has been teaching her about calling, purpose, and how even ordinary moments—like caring for a family, preparing meals, or serving in unseen ways—can be part of His greater work.

Because ministry isn’t limited to the extraordinary. God can use our everyday faithfulness for His purposes.
