Good evening FVBC! We are excited to announce another sponsor for our Night Tournament. PizzAmore’ has generously donated gift cards and their locally produced Mile High Hot Honey. Bob Bailey and myself went there for lunch today and nothing can prepare you for the experience you will have. Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, you’re greeted with a patio with outdoor optional seating. Walking inside, the decor, seating and bar catch your eye and it feels relaxing and cozy. You also can get a glimpse of the kitchen and their signature wood fired oven. The staff is friendly and wants to treat you like family. The menu is jam packed with appetizers, salads, signature pizzas, their build your own pizza/calzones, and mouth watering deserts. We ordered the bruschetta, the hot honey pizza and calzone. The bruschetta came out looking like a masterpiece. Sourdough bread with mozzarella, tomatoes, basil and the balsamic sauce really let you know you were in for a treat. Then came the Hot & Honey Pizza. Wood fired Neapolitan pizza with little pepperoni cups that held their signature Mile High Hot Honey and some fresh basil. Words cannot describe the flavor profile and ride it will take you on. I never have tried Hot Honey on a pizza but the sweet tomato sauce, the pepperoni cups with a slight taste of honey and finishing with a tap dance of heat that isn’t overwhelmingly hot but a perfect balance that will just make you smile. The calzone came out looking like a fluffy wood charred pillow with stringing mozzarella, sausage, and another meat Bob chose. It also came with a side of marinara sauce. Jesse the head chef, who is the mastermind behind these creations, explained the trial and errors of creating the Hot Honey. He wanted something unique and wanted to use Colorado honey. This place is a must go to and a hidden gem. They have live bands, car shows, trivia nights etc. This establishment is an experience that I’m not questioning if but when I will be back.
