Troy is ready to find his new home. Troy is around 16 years old and was just gelded last month. He stands about 11.3hh. He is generally easy to catch but because he was gelded so late he can get distracted 🫣😂. He either had some training lots of years ago or is just a smart dude that catches on. He does pick up all four, tie, load and he let me saddle him-although I don’t think he is broke 😂 I have put a bit in his mouth and he was definitely confused. He will lunge on a line. He basically sat for 15 years doing absolutely nothing and considering that he really does pretty good!

He definitely acts study and should go to a home that’s going to give him some structure-he moves well so I don’t think it would be unreasonable to give this boy a job.

Adoption fee $500 obo
Must be an approved home and go to a home capable of handling a pony with stud like behavior. He is Utd on vaccines, dewormer, farrier and float.

We have a few companions available right now. We also have a wait list of horses needing to come in that we can’t bring in until we place some of the others. So, we are waving all adoption fees for companion horses for now. An application must be approved, and an adoption contract will still apply. The horses and descriptions will be listed below in the order of the pics.

ALL of these horses are up to date on everything - teeth, farrier, chiro, vaccines and deworming.

Pepper: Senior grey mare - roughly 20 yrs old. Was never broke to ride but is very sweet. Needs patience with farrier, but does ok when sedated, easy to catch.

Roxie - roughly 19 yr old sorrel mare VERY sweet, super easy to catch, good for farrier. Was also never broke to ride.

Charlie - Roughly 22-24 yr old National Show Horse (Arabian/Saddlebred cross) Charlie came to us as a surrender from the western slope incredibly underweight, his weight is now good. Charlie is a well broke light riding arena horse with some buttons but had lots of years off from riding so would do best with someone who can get him back in shape and isn't intimidated by a forward horse. He does have a slightly clubby front hoof that requires a good farrier. We have not had him out on trail. He is also extremely friendly and very easy to catch. Good for farrier.

Today we welcomed in this pretty older gelding named Munchie! Munchie is in his mid twenties and is a retired rope horse. He’s in pretty good shape but he does need a pedicure! Munchie will very likely be looking for a light riding home but stay tuned for more info!

Baby Soul is one month old today! She’s doing so good learning big girl things. Picking up all four and leading like a champ. Next will be learning to tie and loading on a trailer.

Who wants an amazingly sweet mare? She is 19 and was never trained to ride so she’s looking for a companion home. Below is her original adoption post.

Are you in need of a companion!? Roxie is available! This sweet 19 year old mare stands 14.3/15hh, she is completely UTD on vaccines, dewormer, farrier and dental. She is BOTTOM of the herd here so she’s pretty easy to integrate into a home. She was a bit pushy when she arrived but with just a little work has become very respectful. She ties, loads, pretty easy to catch, and is good for the vet and farrier. She HATES my alpaca Carl so a home without Camelids is preferred 😂. She is not on any grain except for a treat every now and then, currently free fed on an alfalfa bale.

Roxie was never broke to ride so a companion home is what she’s looking for! I would say her only flaw is that when she spooks it tends to be into her handler, but she has gotten a bit better with that.

Adoption fee $400 to an approved home OR SHE IS AVAILABLE TO FOSTER!

We took in this 24 yr old senior gelding today, new name to come. He came from a sad situation where the owners are older and have dementia so he wasn’t being fed properly and the other horse that was with him sadly starved to death. I want to thank the neighbor, Chris, for his consistent diligence on helping this poor gelding, and another friend, Chris, with Jefferson county for bringing more light to this and getting the ball rolling to get him with us. We don’t have a whole lot of info on him, but he needs caught up on all maintenance (teeth, feet, vaccines and deworming and sand clear) as well as some good groceries to get him back to an acceptable weight.
If any of you feel inclined to help us help this guy, to get him all caught up on maintenance will be roughly $500 and then feed will be roughly $200/month

No More Clouds aka Sunny D is officially ready to find her new home. Sunny is a 17 year old TB mare that stands over 16hh. Sunny has tons of trail experience and is a fun ride. She is good for the vet and farrier, ties, loads and has been easy to catch. She has been ridden primarily English but was unbothered by a western saddle.

Sunny’s flaw-she is a pushy TB on the ground and she is BIG. She isn’t mean but she just needs to be reminded that someone is at the end of the lead rope. She will need a home that is confident in correcting behavior. She also has some reoccurring swelling in her hind left leg that seems to do better with more movement, this swelling hasn’t caused any additional lameness that we have noticed.

She does neck rein and move off seat and leg beautifully. She can WTL, but does have some stiffness in her hind end so I wouldn’t recommend her going to a home that wants to lope a ton. She does need a full set of shoes she has soft TB feet and is very rock sore without shoes. In her paddock she is middle of the herd.

She is available for adoption to an approved home.
