The Day Iceland Stood Still is our June Film of the Month 🎬

In 1975, nearly all the women of Iceland walked off the job and out of their homes, refusing to work, cook, or care for children for a single day. The result? A movement that helped transform the country and changed the conversation about gender equality around the world.

Blending firsthand testimony, animation, archival footage, and plenty of humor, this inspiring documentary celebrates the women who proved just how powerful collective action can be.
