This morning, Layla’s Dance Haven and the DUNJOHN Initiative are honored to be featured on KKTV 11 at 8:30 AM!

What started with a dream has grown into a movement centered on opportunity, inclusion, mentorship, and community. From dance and performance to adaptive programming, youth development, and family support—we’re building something bigger than ourselves.

This feature isn’t just about us. It’s about every dancer, every family, every volunteer, every community partner, and everyone who has believed in our vision.

✨ Something exciting is coming…

DUNJOHN Initiatives is getting ready to welcome participants through our upcoming partnerships with The KENNA Foundation and Peak Journeys Disability Services!

We’re currently completing our final onboarding process and are excited to begin offering inclusive, community-based programs designed for individuals with developmental disabilities and special needs.

Programs will include:
🌿 Storybound – Adaptive & Special Needs Adventures
🏡 Kindred Hearth – Life Skills, Mentorship & Community Wellness
🛡️ Forge & Foundation – Recreation, Preparedness & Community Connection

We’re getting everything in place so we can provide the best experience possible.

Colorado Springs, we’re just ONE WEEK away from the Last Chance for Fun: Back-to-School Bash! 💜

We’re excited to bring our community together for one last summer celebration before the school year begins. Whether you’re coming to enjoy the entertainment, connect with local organizations, meet community partners, or simply spend time with family and friends, there’s something for everyone!

✨ Here’s what you can look forward to:
🎭 Live performances throughout the evening
🎭 Character performers & cosplayers

This event is about celebrating our community and helping families head into the school year feeling supported.

For our Last Chance for Fun: Back-to-School Bash, we’re providing a free meal for families—especially those facing hardship or needing extra support.

We’re seeking two local sponsors (restaurants, food trucks, businesses, churches, or families) to help provide a simple meal like hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, and drinks.
