KDR Colorado was founded with a deeply personal mission – to honor the memory of Ethan, the son of our founder. Ethan's life, though marked by a rare genetic condition that demanded countless medical appointments and procedures, was also filled with immeasurable joy and resilience. From his very first breath to his last, Ethan's spirit of strength and happiness left a lasting impact on everyone around him. 🌈
Why Kids, Dogs, and Rugby? At first glance, the focus of our charity might seem eclectic, but each element holds a special place in Ethan's story. Ethan's days were brightened by the unwavering love and companionship of his three dog brothers, who were always by his side, providing comfort and entertainment. Meanwhile, the rugby community stood as a pillar of support for Ethan and his family, embodying values of teamwork, strength, and courage that Ethan himself demonstrated every day.
In creating KDR Colorado, our aim is to embody Ethan’s legacy by supporting projects and non-profits that enrich the lives of children, offer comfort through canine companionship, and bolster the rugby community that has shown us boundless support.
