We had a Chamber of Commerce day today in Colorado Springs! Beautiful fall day! Taken at the creek that runs through the Springs and Rock Ledge Ranch. I tried to capture the yellow Aspen leaves. :)
A big thank you goes out to Becky Layman for the 3 candy wrapper quilts. (I can see these being chosen first) Melonie Stanton for the beautiful yellow and Brown quilt (and the house quilt, not pictured) and Lisa Silver for the stunning purple and red quilt. Such beautiful, bright quilts! Thanks, ladies!

Q: Gosh! You guys need a break...you've just donated 148 quilts!
Our quilters: A break? How do you take a break from something you love?

We just received our first donation of 3 quilts! Thank you, Barbara Graney and Anne Lindsay. My grandfather used to call the first of anything "the seeds". (Like the first few pennies in the piggy bank after you took your savings to the bank.) Hoping many quilts sprout from these "Seeds". 😀

I wanted to share a text I received this week from a family who was fostering 4 brothers and she and her husband were able to adopt the 4 little boys. I saw her sweet family on Facebook. I don't even know them or what state they're in! I told her that our QFK was providing quilts to our local foster care. This was her reply back, "I love this! My boys would've loved a quilt. They typically always have a blanket on thier lap. A quilt they could've kept forever would've been so special. Thank you for doing that for your community! I know those children cherish the quilts!"

I hope this warmed your heart as much as it did mine!
