๐ฉฐ Last night, I had the absolute joy of attending A Colorado Rodeo at the Pikes Peak Center for the Arts, and it was truly unforgettable! ๐๐โจ
A huge congratulations to my school principal and artistic director, Miss Kate Walsh, whose brilliant choreography and vision brought this beautiful story to life in such a powerful and magical way! She is such an inspiration to me, not only as a dancer, but as a young girl with big dreams. I am so thankful to learn from someone who pours so much passion, excellence, and heart into everything she creates. ๐
It was also so special to watch the older dancers from my school, Colorado Ballet Society shine on stage. Their talent, dedication, artistry, and storytelling were incredible to witness. Every scene beautifully captured the spirit of the American West, Colorado history, faith, family, tradition, and the dreams of young girls who believe in something bigger than themselves. ๐
From the excitement of the rodeo parade to the romance beneath the Colorado skies, A Colorado Rodeo was full of heart, beauty, and western charm. Watching Jessi chase her dream of becoming Rodeo Queen while staying true to her values made the story even more meaningful.
If you did not get the chance to see it this year, do not miss it next year! I truly hope A Colorado Rodeo becomes a Colorado tradition for families to enjoy for years to come, much like A Colorado Nutcracker, which I am so honored to be a part of.
There is something so special about celebrating stories through the beauty of dance.
Congratulations again to everyone who made this production possible. What an amazing night! ๐คโญ๏ธ
