Why Selah Wilderness Adventures Exists

In a world that never stops buzzing, many faithful leaders are exhausted.

Pastors. Ministry workers. Thoughtful Christian workers.
People who pour themselves out for others—often without space to pause, breathe, and be restored.

Selah Wilderness Adventures exists to create that pause.

The word Selah appears throughout the Psalms. It’s an invitation to stop.
To reflect.
To listen.
To remember what is true.

We believe the wilderness is one of God’s most powerful classrooms. Away from screens, schedules, and expectations, something beautiful happens. Hearts slow down. Conversations go deeper. Perspective is restored.

Through guided wilderness experiences—rafting, backpacking, fly fishing, and time around the fire—we help remove two of the biggest barriers that keep people from stepping into the outdoors: lack of gear and lack of knowledge. You don’t have to be an expert. You don’t need all the equipment. You just need a willingness to step away and be present.

Our heart is simple:
• To offer rest for the weary
• To create space for meaningful conversation
• To help people reconnect with God, with others, and with the calling He’s placed on their lives

This isn’t about adrenaline for adrenaline’s sake.
It’s about unhurried time.
Honest conversations.
And letting creation do what it has always done—point us back to the Creator.

Selah Wilderness Adventures maiden voyage on SWA-1 Fly fishing raft. It was a cool start to the day but oh what an incredible time with these men on the water. We got a few fish in the boat but the time to Selah- to rest in the Lord thorough adventure and in the wilderness was something special.
