We had another successful capture the flag event at the Zane Whitesides’s Memorial Ranch Rodeo. 22 kiddos signed up. Congratulations to our 9-12 age division winner Roadie Rinehart and to our 13-15 age division winner Tate Cochrane. We would like to thank the Zane Whitesides’s Memorial Ranch Rodeo for letting us host this event every year.

I, Laura Southerland, Club Manager, am thankful for the opportunities 4-H has given me to serve and shape the future generation, the connections and resources it has given my boys to grow, and I am thankful that I get to see y'all grow and thrive in different projects through 4-H.

I started 4-H when I was a kid and did the bare minimum so I could show pigs. As an adult I was lucky to have my prior extension agent, Terry Millican, be Cooper's first extension agent. He is truly who made me get involved more with it. Once we moved to Mitchell County 4-H and Youth Development Grandma Sandy got us involved more with different projects and kept encouraging. In alot of ways my 4-H career is young and growing right along with yall so thank you kids for taking me along for the ride!

Heart of Texas Academic Rodeo Results are in and Cooper placed 4th in 6th grade Math!

Late yesterday evening these 3 competed in the Academic Rodeo at Heart of Texas in Waco. They all 3 competed in the Math Bee and Reed competed in Spelling as well. We are very proud of them for putting themselves out there and working hard!

We had 2 participants attend the HOT Fair in Waco for the Trap Shoot. Tate Cochrane and Edwin Kuss. Tate placed 5th in the Senior Division hitting 95 out of 100 targets. He shot his first 50 straight in competition. So very proud of the boys for doing their best.
