July 21st is the last day for monetary donations for the Applewood fires. Cashiers checks will be cut after that and handed out July 22nd at the Colorado City Library. All victims that wanted to be part of the donations have been notified. Thank you to our wonderful community for coming together to help them during this difficult time! You're all truly amazing!

To recieve your share of the funds raised for the Applewood fires we will need you to fill out a short application online. Please go to http://applewood-kjhh.com. This is ONLY for the Applewood fire victims that had total loss of their homes due to the event.
All funds will be disbursed on the 21st of July via cashiers checks.

We also have a fund sent up for displacement relief. You can both donate and apply for assistance on the website: http://aspenacres-kjhh.com. Not many have donated so for now it will be on "first come, first serve" status unless we raise more steady flow of funds. With all other donation avenues, we understand this may not reach many people. We just wanted to do our part to help.

Our community is coming together to help families displaced by the Applewood Fire. Apply for relief or make a donation to support your neighbors.

We have had a few people ask if we are doing monetary donations like we did for Applewood fires. We are. However, there are multiple resources available as it stands already, so it may not reach many people, and that's okay. We will help however we can. If this doesn't go anywhere that's okay too, but we didn't want to donate to one fire and not the other. All funds that have been collected for Applewood fire victims will still go to them, they won't be split with the Aspen Acres Fire Relief. This is taken from Boulder in Rye coming off the Aspen acres fire. It's always best to be prepared, and at the very least, grab a bag with your important documents, clothes, and hygiene items, and put it in your car. You just never know how quickly the wind could change direction or push the fire. Everyone stay safe!

Monetary donations are being accepted for the Applewood fire victims at Bank of the San Juans.

PLEASE BE ADVISED!!! You must say it's for Kyndra Jade's Hope Haven for the Applewood fires or else they cannot take it. If you only say it's for the Applewood fires they cannot accept it because it has to go into an account and "applewood fires" can't have an account on their own. They also can't legally tell you what account to deposit into so you have to know when you go in.

Thank you everyone for this amazing support from the community to help our own. They definitely need all the help they can get, starting from scratch. It is greatly appreciated! These are the times that make me proud to live in a small community.

There have been many individuals who donated already and even some businesses that have contacted us to inquire about donations. Although I cannot mention them all by name, I want to say thank you for your generosity! You're all equally appreciated.

If you prefer to donate online instead of via bank, we do have a donate button on our fb and Instagram pages, we accept PayPal and Venmo, and we are on both charity platforms, GoFundMe and Zeffy. All payment routes go to the same account.

We will need a list of all the homes that were a total loss. We have a few so far but want to make sure we are accurate. If you haven't done so, please message here or text (719) 717-7344. We will need the following information:

*Legal first and last name
*Address of the house that was lost
*Best Phone number to contact
*Secondary phone number
*Email

Cashiers checks will be given. Funds are being raised for 30 days from the date of the fire.

Anyone donating to Bank of the San Juans for the Applewood Fires under our nonprofit, checks are the preferred method of payment. Cash payments can be accepted, but it's just a more difficult process. Thank you everyone for your amazing support of this valley. It's truly amazing to see the community pull together.
