We wanted to let the community know that we will not be holding Greenhorn Valley Days this year.

Unfortunately, the majority of our board members have stepped down, and an event of this size requires a significant amount of planning and volunteer support. With only a few people currently serving, we simply do not have the capacity to organize the event this year.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our departing board members. While they originally committed to a two-year term, they generously served for four full years to help ensure the successful completion of Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Greenhorn Meadows Park project. Their time, dedication, and commitment have made a lasting impact on our community, and we are incredibly thankful for everything they have done.

While Greenhorn Valley Days is taking a pause, Valley First is still hard at work on Phase 3 of the park project—the addition of a new playground—and we are actively looking for community members who would like to get involved.

Serving on the Valley First board requires just one meeting per quarter, participation in two community cleanups each year, and helping with Greenhorn Valley Days when it returns.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out for our Community Cleanup Day!

We are truly sorry that we had to turn folks away. We wish we could have accommodated every single person, but this year we had more vehicles come through than at any time in the four years we’ve been hosting this event and people lined up at 6 AM.

A special thank you to CCMD, those who stayed, volunteered, and helped despite the long lines, heat and high turnout. Your patience, understanding, and commitment to our community made a huge difference.

We’re grateful for the incredible support and participation from our community and are looking forward to the next one!

WE DID IT! 🎉

What began as a pipe dream over four years ago became reality last Saturday. Our volunteer nonprofit officially cut the ribbon on Phase Two of our park revitalization project, turning a field that was started more than 20 years ago but never completed into our "field of dreams"!

I saw this question come up on another page and thought it might be helpful to share an update here.

You’ve probably noticed the great progress on the football field at Greenhorn Meadows Park – but it’s not quite ready yet. The orange fencing is still up at the request of our general contractor and will stay in place until October 1. This gives the new sod time to take root without people or pets on it.

We’ll also be sealing the track soon, and it needs time to fully cure before use. We’re just as excited as you are to see the community enjoying these new amenities, but we ask for your patience for about six more weeks so we can protect these improvements for the long term.

Wow—what a day! 🌞💚

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and spent the day with us at Greenhorn Valley Days and helped us celebrate the ribbon cutting of our new park amenities! From the little league field to the walking trail and beautiful new bathrooms, it was incredible to see our community come together to enjoy and celebrate this next chapter for Greenhorn Meadows Park.

Your support, energy, and smiles made the day unforgettable!!💜💜
